Two twisty buns

For those of you begging for a easy hair style - this one is for you! Part her hair down the middle or as my daughter prefers down the side of her natural part line. Comb down into a low or high pony tail and secure with a rubber-band.

Start from the rubber-band and start twisting - twist tightly until it starts to curl around into a bun.

Once your bun is formed secure with a rubber-band.

Finish with a hairspray and bows or flowers.
There is a darling hair style that only will take a few minutes to accomplish.
And looks darling on all ages of girls!

2 braids going into a side pony

Part down her natural part line. I know all of you are wondering why I never do anything parted down the middle - well that's because my little princess THINKS it doesn't look good on her so I have transformed all my dos to be down the side. After you part down her natural part do another part diagonal to that one down past her ear.

Start braiding straight down the section you parted off.
I'm doing a outer braid but your welcome to do a regular braid as well.

Secure with a rubber-band.

Move to the other side and start braiding down and around the back of her head with the remaining hair.

Secure with a rubber-band.

Grab both braids and secure with a rubber-band to make a ponytail.
Remove the other rubber-bands and comb through hair.

Curl the ponytail and finish with a hair accessory.

Side Bumpy-Bun

This is a staple hair do in our house - in fact most of her friends call it the Aubrie bun, but we call it the bumpy-bun. We usually do one bun on the side but it also looks great as two bumpy buns also.

First part her hair at the natural part line and start a part
from there down to her ear. Part that section into half and put into two little ponies.

Gather those two little ponies and make one little pony.
Like pictured down below.

Now move over to the other side and repeat the first steps.

Now you will gather all the hair in the back and comb into a low ponytail.

Take the two little ponies from the front and make one little pony above the side pony you just made

And attach to the big ponytail. Pictured below.

Take another rubber band and go through the motions of making a ponytail just don't pull
the ends all the way through. If done correctly there will be a
loop at the bottom and her loose ends will be sticking out the top. Like below.

Now your going the comb through the hair that is sticking out the top
and loop it down. Then your going to thread it through the rubber band
that is holding the first loop you made.

And there you have it - a bumpy bun!!! This is what it looks like when finished.
Make sure you fan it out to cover the loose ends.

Add a few sprays of hairspray and a hair accessory and  you have a great hair do
that was simple but looks fancy!
Also, this looks fabulous in teens and adults (minus all the little ponies)!!!

Fashionista

Everyone always asks where do you buy your daughters clothes. Well here is the answer. I will be posting pictures of her outfits periodically and where you can find them! She is quiet a fashionista and loves loves loves skirts and dresses but can usually be talked into jeans or skinny jeans on P.E. day.

This great red sweater I bought at a consignment store (consignment stores are a great place to sell your old clothes and sometimes you can find some great clothes at a good price.) The tunic shirt used to be a dress from Old Navy (I keep all her dresses as long as they still fit in the arms and just make them into long shirts that look great with skinny jeans) And last her silver sparkle tom knock offs from Walmart.

This purple outfit was a must have - the sweater, skirt, leggings, and shoes are from Target. I was really pushing it when I bought this last year because it is a size 5T and Brie happened to be 6 when I bought it and    now 7 in this picture. When things get too small and I can't seem to part with it I just have her long leggings be capri leggings and if you push up the sleeves on the sweater no one can tell that it is too short. The only thing not from Target is the white ruffle shirt from Old Navy.

Rapunzel/Tangled Wig

My little girl decided to be Rapunzel/Tangled for Halloween this year. I contemplated buying or borrowing a wig but decided it would be more unique if I made my own wig! So I came up with a plan and got to work! Here are the steps so you can make your own Rapunzel/Tangled wig.
(SORRY - I didn't take any pictures as I made it.)

Supplies:
Yellow Yarn
Purple Ribbon
Pink Flowers
Rubber bands
Scissors
Hot Glue Gun

1) I cut the whole roll of yarn at 110 in long. This can get to be a bit tedious but I did it while
catching up on DVR and the time went by faster.

2) Attach all the of the yarn with a rubber band. Now in order to braid it I found it easier to tie the rubber band end to my stair case banister or you could always ask for someone to hold that end for you. Before you begin braiding you will want to add one strand of purple ribbon down the length of the yarn. Now you can begin braiding - just make sure you keep the ribbon in one section while you braid.

3) When your finished close off with a rubber band. Get your little princess and wrap one end of the braid around her head to form a crown. Once you have that measured you will add another rubber band where you need to attach to form a circle. Just thread it through and if done correctly you will have a perfect crown that fits perfectly to her head.

4) Now we will add the finishing touches. You will want to tie another strand of ribbon up where the crown meets to hide the raw ends of yarn and at the bottom of the braid. Tie both of those into a bow. Now you will attach the flowers with hot glue.

Voila you have made a one of a kind Rapunzel / Tangled wig!

*Tip it can be a bit heavy if so just hot glue a plastic comb on the inside of your your braid to secure it to head better.

Her Winnings!

Lindsie McDaniel received her winnings from our grand opening drawing.
She has a 5 year old girl and is expecting another baby girl in just a few weeks. So, I put together some fun and colorful pieces that work good together for both girls. Pink is always a staple in a girls wardrobe and lets face it - they look pretty darn cute in it as well. I'm also loving the color turquoise on little girls lately. I figured she would be pretty set on holiday colors so I aimed more with springtime colors.

**If there is something here you see that you like let me know and I can remake one for you!**
